Our Services
Pro-Galv specialises in anti-corrosion treatments for mild steel / wrought iron / pewter products such as burglar bars, gates, palisade fencing, structural steel, radiators, irrigation pipes, garden furniture, etc. Pro-Galv uses one or a combination of the following in-house processes, to control corrosion for a period of time:
Hot Dip Galvanizing
Hot dip galvanizing is a metallurgical process whereby zinc reacts and bonds with suitably cleaned mild steel when dipped into molten zinc at about 450ºC
Bath size: 7200 x 1300 x 2600 (L x W x D)
Shot blasting
The blasting of steel grit under air pressure onto the steel surface to remove contaminants such as rust, old paint or foreign coatings.
Booth size: 8000 x 3000 x 3000 (L x W x H)
Zinc/Aluminium metal spraying
Thermal spraying of zinc or aluminium onto shot blasted mild steel / wrought iron / pewter surfaces.
Duplex coating system
An additional coating of a pre-selected paint system over Hot Dip Galvanized or thermal sprayed surfaces, for enhanced corrosion control.
Acid Pickling
The removing of mill scale / rust from steel surfacing using acid.
Zincgrip
In order to enhance the adhesion of a paint system applied to a hot dip galvanized substrate, the components are dipped into a propriety chemical coating. In addition to enhancing paint adhesion, the product circumvents the formation of white rust.
